Agriventure Nishan - Pochonia chlamydosporia / Verticillium chlamydosporium

Natural Protection Against Harmful Soil Nematodes

AGRIVENTURE Nishan is a biological nematicide containing Pochonia chlamydosporia (formerly known as Verticillium chlamydosporium). This beneficial soil fungus naturally attacks plant-parasitic nematodes by infecting and destroying their eggs, juveniles and adult stages, helping crops develop stronger and healthier root systems.

AGRIVENTURE Nishan is an eco-friendly solution suitable for organic farming and Integrated Pest Management (IPM). It reduces nematode populations without leaving harmful chemical residues while improving soil health and crop productivity.

Mode of Action

AGRIVENTURE Nishan colonizes the plant root zone and establishes itself in the surrounding soil. The beneficial fungus produces specialized structures and enzymes that penetrate nematode eggs and body walls.

After infection, the fungal hyphae consume the internal contents of the nematode, preventing reproduction and breaking its life cycle. Continuous multiplication of the fungus in the rhizosphere provides long-term suppression of harmful nematodes while supporting healthy root growth.
