Mode of Action

The infective juvenile nematodes actively move through the soil searching for insect hosts by detecting carbon dioxide and other chemical signals. After locating the insect, they enter through natural body openings or soft body tissues.

Inside the insect body, the nematodes release beneficial symbiotic bacteria that rapidly multiply and cause septicemia. The insect usually dies within 24 to 48 hours. The nematodes reproduce inside the dead insect and release a new generation into the soil to continue biological pest control.
