How to Use Gharda Bakeel

  1. Read the complete Bakeel product label and leaflet before application.
  2. Shake the container properly before measuring the formulation.
  3. Select the dose according to the target pest and treated cotton area.
  4. Fill the spray tank approximately halfway with clean water.
  5. Pre-mix the measured Bakeel quantity in a small amount of clean water.
  6. Add the prepared mixture to the spray tank while stirring.
  7. Add the remaining water and maintain proper agitation.
  8. Use a knapsack sprayer fitted with a hollow-cone nozzle.
  9. Spray uniformly over leaves, tender shoots, flowers and boll-forming portions.
  10. Use the prepared spray solution on the same day.

Mode of Action

Fipronil acts primarily by blocking GABA-gated chloride channels in the insect nervous system. This causes uncontrolled nervous activity, impaired movement and eventual death in susceptible pests following contact or ingestion.

Imidacloprid binds to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors in the insect nervous system. Persistent stimulation disrupts nerve-signal transmission, resulting in feeding cessation, paralysis and eventual death in susceptible insects.

The combination provides contact, ingestion and systemic activity through two complementary modes of action for label-listed cotton pests.

Why Farmers Can Choose Gharda Bakeel

  • Officially recommended for four important cotton pests.
  • Controls both sucking pests and pink bollworm under label-directed use.
  • Combines contact, ingestion and systemic activity.
  • Provides two insecticidal modes of action.
  • Clearly defined target-specific doses for cotton.
  • Suitable for application at the initial appearance of infestation.
  • Manufactured and marketed by Gharda Chemicals Limited.
