IIL Hakama Herbicide is a selective post-emergence herbicide containing Quizalofop Ethyl 5% EC. It is specially developed for the effective control of annual and perennial narrow-leaf grassy weeds in broadleaf crops. Hakama is rapidly absorbed through weed foliage and translocated to growing points, where it inhibits lipid synthesis, stopping weed growth and eventually eliminating the weeds from the roots.
Its excellent systemic movement provides reliable control of difficult grasses such as Cynodon dactylon (Doob grass) and Sorghum halepense (Johnson grass). Visible symptoms begin within 5–8 days, with complete weed control generally achieved within 10–15 days under suitable conditions.

Quizalofop Ethyl is absorbed through weed leaves and rapidly moves to the growing points. It inhibits the ACCase enzyme responsible for lipid synthesis, preventing cell membrane formation and stopping weed growth. Treated weeds gradually turn purplish-red, dry up and die completely.
