Safex Boost Paclobutrazol 23% w/w SC Plant Growth Regulator

Safex Boost is a systemic Plant Growth Regulator (PGR) containing Paclobutrazol 23% w/w SC. It is especially useful in mango cultivation for managing excessive vegetative growth and encouraging the plant to direct more energy towards flowering and fruit development.

Paclobutrazol works by inhibiting gibberellin biosynthesis in the plant. This helps reduce excessive shoot elongation and internode length while supporting terminal bud formation, flowering and balanced reproductive growth.

Key Features

How Safex Boost Works

Paclobutrazol inhibits the biosynthesis of gibberellins, plant hormones responsible for shoot elongation and vegetative growth. By reducing gibberellin activity, excessive vegetative growth is controlled and the plant can maintain a better balance between shoot growth, flowering and fruit production.

Recommended Crop

Mango: Safex Boost is particularly used for regulating vegetative growth in established mango trees and supporting better flowering and fruiting behaviour.

Recommended Dosage for Mango

Age of Mango Tree Paclobutrazol 23% SC Dose

  5. For furrow application, prepare a shallow furrow around the tree as directed on the approved label, apply the solution evenly and cover it with soil.
