Sowing Instructions

1. Prepare a fine, level and well-drained seedbed before sowing.
2. Sow the seeds at the spacing and depth recommended on the original packet.
3. Ensure sufficient soil moisture at sowing to support uniform germination.
4. Do not soak chemically treated seeds unless instructed on the product label.
5. Avoid excessive irrigation and standing water during germination.

Crop Management

• Apply farmyard manure and balanced fertilizers according to soil-test results and local recommendations.
• Provide irrigation according to crop stage, soil moisture and rainfall.
• Avoid waterlogging around the root zone.
• Keep the field free from weeds during the important early growth stages.
• Regularly inspect the crop for sucking pests, diseases and nutrient deficiencies.
• Follow integrated pest-management practices and apply registered crop protection products only when required.

Bollgard II Stewardship

Bollgard II technology is intended to provide protection against specified bollworm pests. It does not protect the crop from all sucking pests, diseases or environmental stresses. Maintain the recommended refuge crop, regularly monitor the field and follow resistance-management instructions provided with the seed packet.

Harvesting

Begin harvesting when the bolls have opened completely and the cotton is fluffy and dry. Pick the cotton at regular intervals and avoid harvesting immediately after rainfall or while the lint is wet. Keep clean cotton separate from stained or damaged produce to help maintain quality.
