Western Agri Seeds reports better tolerance to blight, soil-borne diseases and sucking pests for Western 108 BG II. Pest and disease reactions can vary under field conditions, so preventive crop care and regular monitoring should still be followed.
Any tolerance associated with seed treatment remains effective only during its intended protection period. It should not be treated as complete or season-long protection against sucking pests or diseases.
| Sowing Season | Follow the locally recommended cotton-sowing window and availability of adequate soil moisture |
|---|---|
| Seed Requirement | Follow the product packet according to its weight, recommended spacing and desired plant population |
| Sowing Depth | Approximately 3–5 cm, depending on soil and moisture conditions |

| Suitable Soil | Medium to deep, fertile and well-drained soil |
| Irrigation | According to rainfall, soil moisture and crop-growth stage |
Maintain adequate soil moisture during crop establishment, square formation, flowering and boll development. Irrigate according to rainfall, soil type and crop stage. Avoid prolonged moisture stress and waterlogging, as both can adversely affect crop growth and boll development.
Bollgard II technology provides protection against specified bollworm pests and does not protect the crop against every insect pest, disease or environmental stress. Regularly inspect the field, maintain the prescribed refuge or Refuge-in-Bag system and follow all resistance-management instructions supplied with the seed packet.
Begin picking after the bolls have opened completely and the cotton is dry and fluffy. Harvest at regular intervals and avoid picking wet cotton. Keep clean produce separate from stained or damaged cotton to help preserve fibre quality.
Disclaimer: Flowering, maturity, pest tolerance, crop performance and yield may vary with seed lot, location, soil fertility, weather, irrigation, pest pressure and crop management. The original product packet and accompanying leaflet should be treated as the primary cultivation instructions.
